The aim of this document is to provide guidance on designing and implementing workplace based assessments (WPBAs). WPBA is an essential part of an assessment system, alongside traditional examinations. A comprehensive assessment system will collectively form an overall profile of an individual by testing their skills, knowledge and behaviours against those identified in a GMC-approved curriculum.
